This privacy policy has been compiled to improve user comprehension on how KIP System K Software uses/stores ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) for scanning/printing applications for web/cloud-based locations (cloud services).
PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read this privacy policy carefully for a clear understanding of how we may handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with KIP System K Software.
Using any of the cloud services accessible through KIP System K Software, the webpage of the cloud service itself is launched. User credentials are entered via the KIP System K Software screen for the specific cloud location. This is completed at the time the “Mailbox” is used for a said cloud service.
We do not store any user credentials for any cloud service/location. Using the cloud service's API OAuth 2.0, the cloud service provides a single-use, temporary “token” to permit placement/retrieval of data as commanded by the authenticated user of the KIP System K Software.
User credentials for any cloud service cannot be provided to any other party from KIP System K Software, as they are not gathered nor stored in KIP System K Software.
Data posted to or from any cloud service may be retained in the device’s volatile memory or in a temporary file on the System K Controller. Restarting the device clears this temporary data.
KIP does not access or use any data transmitted to or from a cloud service for any purpose. We do not capture, sell, or otherwise distribute your data to any third-party. KIP System K Software does not share your data or usage thereof.
KIP does not access your scanned images or print data located on the cloud service. The product user utilizes their credentials to leverage such functions exclusive for the user’s intended purpose.
All data transmitted to and from a cloud service leveraged by KIP System K Software is encrypted in transit.
Software updates are generally available for current products for the cloud services available within the KIP System K Software. This includes the said cloud service API (as the service deems fit), KIP System K Software, as well as the KIP controller's operating system. Please visit the KIP website (www.kip.com) or contact your local KIP Authorized Servicing Dealer for details of the most current version for your KIP System.
